Meadowdale Primary School

29/11/2019

It has been such a busy week in Year 1. The children have been starting to learn about the history of trains. They have also been writing descriptions in English and we are very pleased with the children's use of adjectives to describe what they see e.g. white and fluffy snow. In maths, they have been adding numbers to 20 using a number line. For example, for 13+6, they would put their finger on 13 and then make 6 jumps along the line and land on 19.

Thank you to those of you are reminding your child to change their book in the morning. By placing the book that needs changing in their hand in the line, it really does help the routine run more smoothly.

In Cherry Class, if your child has not brought home a letter regarding raffle tickets for the school fair, please let Miss ward know as she has some spares.
