Geography

Our geography curriculum has been tailored from the national curriculum to inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

Pupils are taught about different areas of geography:

  • Locational knowledge
  • Place knowledge
  • Human and physical geography
  • Geographical skills and fieldwork

Our ambition is for children to learn to ask questions about the how and why in Geography, marvelling at the world around them and the way it operates and changes.  We plan our curriculum to teach geographical facts and skills, but our pupils also understand that their lessons are part of a big picture of learning about the world.
