Meadowdale has a recently refurbished kitchen on site and we run our own school meals service.
The cost of a meal is £2.30 (or £11.50 per week) and payment should be made in advance using ParentPay.
Each morning children register their menu choice and will be given a red band for the meat/fish option or a green band for the vegetarian option. These bands are then swapped for the corresponding meal at lunch time.
On Mondays both menu options are meat-free. Meat-Free Mondays (http://www.meatfreemondays.co.uk) is a national campaign to encourage everyone to reduce their meat consumption and carbon footprint by not eating meat for just one day a week.
Families who receive Family Income Supplement or Job Seekers Allowance may be eligible for free school meals. Please ask for further details at the office.
All children in Foundation Stage and Years 1 and 2 receive free school meals under the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meal programme.
Children may also bring a packed lunch from home or go home for the lunch period. Meadowdale is a nut free school so please don’t send in any products containing nuts (e.g. chocolate hazelnut spreads, peanut butter, cereal bars containing nuts etc).
