School Meals

Meadowdale has a kitchen on site and we run our own school meals service.

The cost of a meal is £2.30 (or £11.50 per week).

Families who receive Family Income Supplement or Job Seekers Allowance may be eligible for free school meals. Please ask for further details at the office.

All children in Foundation Stage and Years 1 and 2 receive free school meals under the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meal programme.

Meals need to be booked in advance via ParentPay This allows us to budget more effectively and minimise food waste. Once logged in to ParentPay, you simply need to add the meal selections to your ‘basket' and pay for them using your credit/debit card or ParentPay balance. You will be given 2 hours to pay after adding the meals to your basket, otherwise they will automatically be cancelled by ParentPay and you will need to provide a packed lunch for that day. If your child receives Universal Free School Meals (FS & KS1) or Free School Meals, the system will automatically reduce the payment due to zero.

Children may also bring a packed lunch from home or go home for the lunch period.  Meadowdale is a nut free school so please don’t send in any products containing nuts (e.g. chocolate hazelnut spreads, peanut butter, cereal bars containing nuts etc).
