    We all had such wonderful time at the pantomime on Friday. Thank you to the MSA for organising everything, the children loved it! We have had a very exciting week this week and have enjoyed getting messy with finger painting for our Christmas cards.

    We are so proud of the children's performances in the Nativity this week! They have worked tremendously hard and have had a great time learning all about the Nativity story. Thank you for your support with sending outfits in and helping the children learn their lines. 

    In maths, we have been learning about subtracting within 20. Lots of children are still struggling with confidently counting and writing numbers to 20 so any additional practise they can do at home would be really helpful. We will be continuing this next week and then going on to

    It has been such a busy week in Year 1. The children have been starting to learn about the history of trains.

    Many thanks to you all for helping your children to start learning their words for our nativity which is only two weeks away now. We have started to learn the songs and next week we will be practising the songs, words and staging.

    We have been busy continuing to learn the /ow/ sound in phonics this week. The children are becoming more confident with this. Next week, we will be moving on to learn the /oo/ sound as in moon, spelt ew (blew), oo (broom), ue (blue), u-e (brute), o (do).
