Thank you to all of you for your support and discussions during parents’ evenings this week. It was nice to have such positive feedback from you all.
Throughout this week we have been building up to writing an imaginary recount about the Great Fire. We have read the book ‘Toby and The Great Fire’ and have considered the thoughts and feelings that Toby might have had as he looked out over the streets of London. We have explored lots of super vocabulary and we hope that the children have included this in their writing today! In music we sang London’s Burning and have had a go at writing some new verses. We may try adding percussion instruments to our verses next week!
In maths, we have continued to look at fractions and have been trying to work out the fraction of an amount. We will be continuing with this next week and will be looking at 1/3, 2/3, 2/4 and 3/4. We have sent an activity home today for the children to complete which supports this learning.
Next week we will be continuing with our fractions work in maths. In English, we will looking at how London was rebuilt after the fire. We might also write a letter to King Charles.
We have sent home a login for Times Tables Rockstars – the children are very excited about this and many have logged on already!
