Many congratulations to the children (and parents!) for dealing so admirably with last week’s tests. They approached them with confidence and enthusiasm, ensuring the whole week went without a hitch.
This week’s learning
In Geography, we have continued learning about South America, particularly its most famous city, Brazil. We have begun to take a look at life inside the favelas of Rio, comparing and contrasting the lifestyles of the rich and poor.
After half term, we will still be working hard on our curriculum, along with being fully involved in preparation for our Year 6 production: Rock Bottom: A side-splitting musical adventure set in the Stone Age. We would like the children to practise the songs and any lines they may have during half-term.
Sports Day will be held on Wednesday 5th June at 1.30pm (weather permitting). The children will need to wear a t-shirt in the colour of their house group.
On the subject of sports and PE, please may we remind you to ensure that your child always has a full PE kit in school. We have noticed a few of the children wearing the same t-shirt for PE that they have worn to school which, especially as we approach the warmer weather, is not particularly hygienic.
